SHOCKING CAT 2016 RESULTS

I read the article about twenty male engineers topping the CAT exam. Being a commerce student in second year of college, this was an upsetting piece of news. I googled the result of last couple of years. You know what was common? The people who got 100 percentile were all engineers.

In school we get divided in three streams and are told this is what we'll do for the rest of our lives. They were wrong.

Commerce students aim for IIMs so do engineers. We are fighting for the same seats. Science students are at an advantage because they have been dealing with high level quant. We haven't.

The alternative- take the GMAT and go abroad. Bright students with commerce background get offer letters from universities that are ranked higher than the IIMs. Our bright kids move abroad, brain drain persists. It's like the system encourages them.
