URI: THE SURGICAL STRIKE MOVIE REVIEW The heart throb, Vicky Kaushal returned to the cinemas with Uri:The Surgical Strike last friday with a much awaited role. Though everyone was quite aware of the storyline and the series of events, it didn’t stop people from going to the cinemas and watching it and the box office numbers are speaking for themselves. Hindi films are about emotion and not nuance. It’s just their grammar, and not necessarily a flaw or a shortcoming. But Uri: The Surgical Strike, is fashioned as a different kind of Bollywood war film, recalling the retaliatory strikes undertaken by the Indian Army on terrorist launch pads in Pakistan, and if pruned judiciously it might’ve worked as a crisp, gritty procedural. The protagonist, Vicky Kaushal was a perfect fit for the role of Major Vihaan Shergil, with the physical bulkiness combined with the sheer conscientiousness that the role required. The laudable cinematography makes the movie all the more gripping, fil
RESERVATION BILL The government has   announced 10 per cent reservation in government jobs and higher education for economically weaker sections in the general category which has been approved by the President on 14th January. Thus becoming  103 rd constitutional amendment. The mega move by the government by the government has attracted a lot of political comments. The opposition in the favour of the Bill but also considered it a political gimmick. "This was a long-standing demand but only the Modi government had the courage to do it. Brahmins, baniyas, Christians, Muslims, all will benefit from this," Vijay Sampla, Union Minister said. Certain experts are questioning the feasibility as the amendment overshoots the Supreme Court's 50 per cent cap on quotas and takes the total to 60 per cent. Any increase from that limit will attract scrutiny. The government said that  is making a difference between economic and social reservation. The Supreme Court's limit
"Being carried away" with change of ground India witnessed a historic moment with the Indian Team winning its first in Australia and being the first team from the subcontinent to win a Test Series in Australia. Cheteshwar Pujara was awarded the Man of the Match and Man of the Series trophies. The win was a huge leap forward for, and was widely celebrated. The historic win however, was overshadowed by the release of the Koffee With Karan episode last sunday which had Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul as guests for the evening. Pandya engaged in misogynistic comments and almost bordered to objectifying women. He spoke about his sex life, the club scene and how he texts the same flirty message to multiple women and was not even ashamed of it. KL Rahul attested to having witnessed screenshots of such messages, and the host, Karan Johar’s laughs were just seen to be encouraging the statements made by the cricketer, one after the other. Pandya also admitted to having p
The accidental Prime Minister : Trailer Review   Man-Mohan of the era The flashing tale of the Italian Family politics on the Indian history is being portrayed as filthy as it possibly can By the upcoming big screen drama THE ACCIDENTAL PRIME MINISTER directed by Vijay Gutte earlier written by Sanjaya Baru Former Media Advisor to EX Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh for almost 4 years.  The trailer by this time has gathered the nation's  vengeance  on the INDIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS while its also drawn as a calculated move from the Opposition as the election set back is ready to hit hard. The trailer portrays Dr. Manmohan Singh as a puppet to the hands of the INC and the internal pressures being at the atmost prestige. IT IS NOT ABOUT ENTRY, IT IS ABOUT EQUALITY!   The Supreme Court verdict out in September 2018 that permitted woman of the menstruating age group to enter the Sabarimala Temple in Kerala invited heavy critism and protests. The beginning of 2019 saw the critisism taking the form of widespread rage and violence as a few women of the earlier restricted age set foot into the temple to offer their prayers after the historic judgement. How the BJP resistance and Kerala Government's support is shaping the situation clearly shows how politics and religion are deeply intertwined in our country. The first question that pops into everyone's mind after going through all the newspaper articles depicting Kerela's current situation -Why the ban in the first place? It is said that the deity of the temple-Lord Ayyapan had taken the vow of celibacy and the restriction was a reflection of the devotees' respect towards the God.The opponents of the SC's decision say that the

SPECULATIVE : A New Year’s State of Mind

SPECULATIVE : A  New Year’s  State of Mind “Tomorrow is the first blank page of the 365 day long  book.” With puzzling  thoughts and all creative juices flooding the brain , with me embracing my new diary  and thinking of a plan to be followed for the day. Mistakenly, this plan shouldn’t be taken as a sincere routine to be followed for the year ahead, but in fact an enthusiastic party plan for the night. This is based on the most basic assumption of people thinking that what they do on the new year’s eve is their ultimate activity in the coming year. New year’s eve stands out to be the most precious night in a young individual’s life .They assume complete responsibility  for the day on their own. They stand up as a pedestal around which all the hassles of their family and friends take place. With joy and giggles overpowering the very own routine life of one, flooding the house with thousands of party suggestions but concluding to none is the typical tradition of the new year. Wi
