Vacations. The world simply gives us all
pure joy. As a child one of the fondest memories each of us have are of the
summer holidays. Sadly, we aren't exactly children anymore, however the pure
bliss of vacation time hasn't changed.
Each person spends their vacation in
their own way. Joining courses, doing recreational activities, taking a family
trip and what not?! However the initial few days of us all are mostly the same.
Where all that matters is the bed, food, tv shows, movies and novels. But in a
while, we all come out of this phase, and decide to utilise the spare time. For
me, and hopefully for a lot of other people, the best way to spend the vacation
time, is to travel. The whole concept of choosing a location, exploring it, seeing
new things and meeting new and different people just excites me to the core.
Each time i'm back from a vacation all i can think of is when to take the next
one. Its almost addictive!
Its truly rightly said, each place you
visit, becomes a part of you. Unknowingly, travel adds a lot to us. It makes us
confident, independent, accepting of others and provides us with a lot of
perspective. It gives us an escape from our daily busy and mundane life.
In my opinion, the best age to travel
the most, are the teenage years. It is during this time you're the most
curious, and up for new and exciting adventures.
Each vacation going to a new place, with
a new environment, makes you more adaptable to change as well. I would strongly
recommend to try things you've never done before, whether its just horse back
riding or more adventurous activities like scuba diving, fly board or even
skiing. Make a new friend, interact with new people, you never know who you
might meet. As for locations, i myself, am in love with beach, a little sand
and endless waters is all i need to be my most happy self. Travel, and find out
what suits you the most!
Trust me these days won't return, make
the best of them!
Moreover traveling makes you see the
world differently, and gives you a better understanding of where you would want
to settle. You can see which place you like the best, in terms of its people,
culture, food and all that the place has to offer, in order to make an informed
decision.
Where you're born is just the first page.
If that's where you intend to be, you've never flipped through the entire book.
If god wanted us to stay at one place, he would have given us roots, and not
feet. So the next couple of days you have nothing to do, instead of sitting on
the couch like a potato, pack your bags and get on your feet! The world awaits
you!
