We The Women
Confined to four walls,
Day in and Day out,
Asked for the freedom to shout,
Struggled for our right to vote.
Came the era of war,
Of suffering and calls for sobriety,
Ditching our shrouds of vanity,
We fought without losing our sanity.
Each of us are actors,
Sister to one, daughter to another,
A guide to many and a pet mother,
But work and party? How about neither!
March for you, March for us.
March for today, March for tomorrow.
We the restricted, We the rejected,
We the unspoken, We the women.
