I t was indeed a matter of great honour and privilege to have the highest authority of the nation- the reverend President of India, Sh. Ram Nath Kovind, at the Inaugural Ceremony of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of our college on September 20, 2017. While addressing to the students, Sh. Kovind praised that our institution has contributed enormously to the cause of education not only in New Delhi but in the entire country, through teaching and preparing young girls to contribute to the society and to the economy and become a part of the nation building.   The ceremony started well in time with the National Anthem proceeded by several performances. Dear younger me, Hi! I hope you are doing well. I know you don't like your chubby face right now but trust me you'll miss it when you grow up. I know those stupid pimples will always appear before anything special, don't worry they'll go with time.  You might think you are not the prettiest or the funniest girl everyone wants to be around, but who cares? The buzzing business quiz does it again- Comquest’17 ! Comquest, the Annual Management quiz conducted by the commerce department and the quiz society of Jesus and Mary College, Curiosus in collaboration with JIMS Kalkaji  kicked off to a great start on 22nd August . With Quizcraft Global as their knowledge partners , the event had Adittya Mubayi as its quiz master. First Day of College: From miscomfort to missing!  There are certain memories which you create unexpectedly and cherish for life; and then there are days which are by marked in advance by your brain as unforgettable memories, irrespective of how exciting it is or what happens. The latter is the category where my first day of college falls. A second year student now, I somehow realize that for 17 years of my life I had just been imagining what this one day would be like. What I would wear, whom I would speak to, what sort of friends I would make and most importantly, what I would be. LSE Summer School: From moments to memories! My Time at LSE summer school Article by- Ashna Sachdev This summer I went to London School of Economics and Political Science for summer school. As expected, for anyone who hadn’t travelled or lived all alone before, it would be an intimidating experience. Simple things like getting waffles from Bubblewrap in Chinatown to doing my own laundry became unforeseen adventures. The first Friday there, I went to lunch with two people from my class. We got Pizza then made plans to go explore the city. Stefi, a really nice and amazing person from the Philippines, Shishir, someone I’d befriended the day before in class, from Dubai, (He pronounced Dubai as Dubaaai!) and I randomly decided in the tube where to get off to explore. We ended up going to Liverpool Street, Kings Cross and the Tower Bridge with small stops on the way. One of Shishir’s best friends, Ashwin, from Switzerland, ended up joining us along the way.
